My husband goes to one of those methadone clinics, and we are talking about trying to have a baby. He’s 32, Im just wondering if Methadone has any affects of the ability to have children? Does it make it harder, or cause any problems in the sperm that may lead to birth defects at all?

I began abusing drugs about a year and a half ago. I eventually became depedent on vicodin and other opiates. In the time period i was abusing them once or multiple times a day and thats when i started feeling different. I felt kind of numb to everything and i felt uncapable of having emotions. Things looked weird when i looked around, and i was really light sensitive. In a weird way, it kind of felt like i was always high. Not like an opiate.. But everything seemed different in a hard way to explain. Thankfully i found a way out and have been mostly clean for about 4 months now but i still feel a little bit like i did. ALOT less, but still present. Its possible that its all in my head, like i just feel like things are different because im worried about it. Is this symptomatic of anything or is this common with painkiller abuse? I just really dont know whats happening and would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks.

Methadone Detox: Open Question: I’m on 160mg of Methadone but its not holding and no 1 believes me, what should I do?
I was at 160mg, but they started me on a detox so now I’m at 130mg. So I switched programs & now they don’t want 2 take me back up. 160mg wasn’t holding me in the 1st place but no one believes me. I have to buy percs off the street just to function 2 take care of my 3yr. old boy. I’m at my wits end and running out of money quick! After 8 yrs. the Meth isn’t doing anything 4 me. I called a suboxen place & they said I have 2 get down to 25mg b4 the switch. I can’t afford 2 be coppin’ dope until then. Any advice?

im 19 and im staying with my mom and step dad at a hotel, we been there for a month or two, my car is the means of transportation between us 3, they have one but it breaks down alot. i been trying to finish school but cant staying there cause she takes my car and goes to a methadone clinic then gotta drop her bf off at work, by the time i get the car there is no gas in it, ( i have no job) and i keep having to put 30-40$ in the gas tank everyday. i own a store, im just starting out, she is always late coming back from the clinic when i need to go to the store. they were supposed to get an apartment 3 weeks ago, but keep putting it off and they ask me for money all the time.. So i left and went to stay with my dad so i can finish school, ect. was i wrong for leaving them without my car for transportation?
